Rangrut is dedicated to advancing child rights by developing targeted interventions in child protection. Through evidence-based research and collaboration with children and key stakeholders, we identify and address pressing issues affecting vulnerable children. Our approach is grounded in field research and direct interactions, enabling us to design both long-term initiatives and ad-hoc projects based on emerging needs. Our core focus lies in context-driven capacity building, ensuring that our programs are tailored to the unique challenges faced by children. We emphasize education, life skills, and rehabilitation as fundamental tools for empowering children and fostering their growth. By working closely with communities, Rangrut aims to create sustainable, impactful change that enhances the well-being and future prospects of the children.

Project Wisdom

Project Wisdom is dedicated to providing after-school academic support to children in slum areas who are enrolled in school but struggle with their studies. Our approach goes beyond traditional teaching methods. We focus on delivering the curriculum in a way that is relatable and memorable for the children, ensuring they truly understand and retain what they learn. The pedagogy we use is carefully designed to fit the unique circumstances of each child, considering their environment, learning pace, and individual challenges. By engaging with them creatively and empathetically, we aim to make learning a meaningful and lasting experience for both the children and our team.

Project Lifeskills

Life skills are essential abilities that help children navigate everyday challenges, build confidence, and grow into well-rounded individuals. For children, these skills include effective communication, problem-solving, decision-making, empathy, and teamwork. Teaching life skills early on fosters emotional and social development, enabling children to manage their emotions, resolve conflicts, and build healthy relationships. It also equips them to make informed choices, cope with stress, and develop resilience. In our sessions, we focus on nurturing these skills in a fun and engaging way, ensuring that children are prepared for both personal and academic challenges while also fostering happiness and self-confidence.

Research and Advocacy

This project focuses on conducting evidence-based research to address child protection issues and promote children’s rights. A key component of our work is child participation—ensuring that children themselves are involved in identifying the challenges they face and voicing their needs. We believe that children are not just beneficiaries but active contributors to shaping policies and solutions that impact their lives. Through workshops, discussions, and interactive platforms, we empower children to share their experiences and insights, which helps us advocate for better laws and systems. By amplifying their voices, we work toward creating a society that truly reflects the best interests of children.

Children Initiated Projects

These projects emerge directly from discussions with children, where they identify the issues they care about most. The children themselves are the key drivers of these initiatives, taking full responsibility for planning and executing the projects. Adults play a supporting role, offering guidance and resources, but the direction and decisions come from the children. This approach empowers them to take ownership, develop leadership skills, and make a real impact in their communities while ensuring their voices are at the forefront of change
